Lee Fields in the Galaxy Barn
This year’s Pickathon music festival ended early Monday morning, more than three days ago. It’s been a crazy couple of days of clean up, downloading, more clean up, editing, visiting with friends and family and going out to see even more music.

This year, I organized a crew of 20 photographers. They were eager and excited. I knew things would get covered and we’d have a ton of awesome images to sift through to make presentations throughout the year. I promised myself I’d slow down and sit through entire sets of music instead of being on the run. I promised myself I’d take the kids to do the same. And I vowed not to be loaded down with too much gear.
The 50 mm lens. A classic, and my new best pal when the lights go down and a musician takes the stage.
